Lets get real, PH and the opposition block don’t have 110. Last count including Pejuang and Warisan is only 105, and whether Pejuang and Warisan will support AI is still not confirmed. Unless if AI can somehow bring GPS into the fold, there is no hope for a PH goverment back as the goverment. No use thumping chest celebrating the downfall of Mahiaddin.

Because, it will still be a  PN+MN government. With Mahiaddin out, who will be his replacement?

The guy is clueless as the senior minister, his SOPs resulted in current worsening Covid situation in the country.

The current bruhaha about some authority agencies raiding that Gold Bullion trading company refers.

1. I am amaze that the consultants and investors are still eagerly defending that the company. The new age business model la, the blue ocean strategy la... which can and will sustain 30-40 percent profit, and the directors of the company are just so generous enough to share the profits with their investors. Fairy tales to me.

2. Just because of the 24% hibah they are getting now, the investors do not care about anything else. Give me thy easy money and I will close thye eyes, close thye ears.. for you. No wonder Jibgor is still handling many many handout, running another deficit budget. Same concept there. btw Jibgor, nothing for me again ah?

3. The way the investors are appealing for the company to be allowed to continue business also appalled me. Now they are going for 'kesian' tactic. How the company helped them with their medical bills for their aging, bed ridden parents la, their school going children la!! Worse it that some advocate of the company are saying, if those people effected jump off a building because of the clamping down, it would be blood on BNM's hand.

Wondering would those consultants be kind enough to take out some portions of the fat commisions they had earned recommending their customers/relatives/friends to invest. Will the consultants say those commisions are their entitlement, they work hard for it and  its separate from the issue at hand!!!

4. I also just got to recently know, people like Chedet and FLOM had been roped in to the company's event to give a sense of false security on how genuine, secure and recognise the company is. Even the company's chairwoman is with a powerful name behind.  The company even sponsored Starwalk this year. How theses people justify earning their apperance fees and gifts... but again these peoples has never been considered Ghandhi.

The company owners are no where to be seen, only a posting on their company's FB page. They arent even putting up prominently on their website. You must go and find the statement asking everybody to work hand in hand to overcome this challenge. Laughable to me it that most imporatant for the company is asking their investors not to put in money into the company's accounts. Thats in the first paragraph of the statement. Nothing on how they are going to give their investors their money back.

The fools and their golds are soon parted.

5. The irony is that these investors will blame BNM for the collapse of the company and will still continue to invest when the company owners are back setting up another new company. And when the business model fails, the investors will still blame BNM for not clamping down on it earlier before they invest.

I fully support what BERSIH wanted, ... a clean and fair election fort this country. And I am sure the ruling goverment has not done anything togive us that.

But I could not understand why they insisted on having it at Dataran Merdeka, or as close to it as possible. Anybody would have known, among those who came, there will be those who come solely to makes trouble. What is in Datuk Ambiga's mind, that the organisers will be able to control the 200,000 people who showed up? Remember Reformasi. Those came comes ready to clash with the police. Even if all true BERSIH supporters acts peacefully, there will be agent provecateurs around. Accepting to help the gathering in a stadium sounds totally suitable to me. Even if DBKL later dilly dally in offering its stadiums, held it then in Stadium Shah Alam. Khalid will certainly allows it.

I kinda agree with Senator Tunku Aziz, we should not break any laws even to make a stand. I am angry that DAP warns him to toe party line. Leaders are to represent the people, never the party. But I dont think his advice to voice it through other channels such as the Parlimeant as wise. In Malaysia, the other branch of democracy, the Judiciary and Parlimeant, has being bowing to the ruling Executive branches for that long that IMHO they are already rotten to the core.

Power corrupts. It takes a very brave man to implement changes that might cause lost of powers to himself. His coalition might even lynch him if they lost power by his action to introduce what is correct. In the meantime, I still want a clean and fair election. If toppling the ruling coalition will give me that, then I am all for it... but just do it peacefully.. in accordance to the law, just like us Penangites do it on 28April2012.

Lets see what the 1Malaysia goverment's nexts action. I am holding my breath, but am afraid I will not have a chance to breath.

308...First Anniversary

And no, I am not talking about that French car.

Well, it has been 365 days since that special day. The day when I was totally surprise by the outcome of the 12th general election of Malaysia. The day when a new hopes are born, the day when I hope that the corrupt and selfish politicians would learn their lessons. I really hoped that that special day would bring on a new beginning to the end for politicians (specifically speaking UMNO and Barisan Nasional) who thrive on corruptions and only care about enriching themselves

365 days later, (well technically speaking, it should be 366 days later), do I see and change in how the country is run, how those corrupt and selfish peoples are brought down, one by one, how transparency and meritocracy prevails to move Malaysia forward?

Sadly, I am really really disappointed.

Those in power before 8 March 2008 are still there. The recent and ongoing Perak political fiasco still confirms that everything is still under the control of the Federal Government. They can still command the police, the government servant and most pathetically, the judiciary at their whims. Maybe even the royalties. The re-brand Anti Corruption Agency (now with a longer name) is still more interested in Cows and Cars and still headed by the same guy. The Election Commission is still perceived as pro-BN. The 2 Bukit and 1 Batang by-elections are to be held on the same day, when the Federal oppositions cry out foul.

I am astounded that UMNO sees that with Najib in as their new chief later this month, everything would be okay. They are still that arrogant. They kept on harping about their party will be weaken by money politics, but no actions are taken. Race and religious are still being use as their trump card. The Malays special rights (whatever that are) are still being paraded around like some magic word. UMNO nowadays even have the balls to say they are the defender of the Kings. Parliament is still a joke. The name calling and hecklings are still part and parcel of each sitting. Lame and biased laws are still being pushed and rushed through, without much opposition.

In Penang, do I see anything different? Our Chief Minister, Lim Guan Eng, brings in the Competency, Accountability and Transparency (CAT) tagline. Ya, I agree that maybe the local UMNO warlords are no longer able to enrich themselves further. But to the layman like me, I don’t really see much different. The positive, streets are now much cleaner. We can see MPPP workers (bless them) working very hard to clean up after every event. And that might be just about it.

The negatives, crimes are now definitely more rampant. Snatch thieves are now more common than seeing our elected YBs. The Penang government is still harping on Federal funds to run the country. Come on la, this is Penang, maybe the most developed and independent of all the Malaysian states. Super expensive housing developments are still going on, even on hill slopes. Chief Minister Lim, frankly speaking, I don’t see much different yet. Except maybe the satisfaction that BN had their asses kicked last round.

By the way, I am still waiting for YB Rayers and YB Danny Law to fulfill their election pledge to abolish the Penang Bridge toll.

For the federal oppositions, this might be your last chance to prove that you can effect change. I strongly believe, the Malays, will regret being so heavy handed last GE. They just wanted to teach UMNO a lesson, never to bring in so many oppositions into the Parliament. They will never repeat this again. And 3rd March will never happen again.

I want a Bangsa Malaysia

There is an old Malay saying “Gajah depan mata tak nampak, kuman seberang laut nampak”.

Shahrir Samad was quoted yesterday as saying “it did not make sense to ask those who were strong to reduce their strength for the purpose of having a so-called level playing field.”

I though this was always the BN, opps ...UMNO’s goverment’s policy.

I don’t know about you but I always feel the level and quality of our education system, from primary up to the universities was brought down, so that more Bumiputras can graduate.

Malaysian local universities are already known as ‘graduate churning factories’. Quantity over quality. Then they complaint about graduates not having soft skills, no able to speak English, no confidence. And when it is reported that there are lots of unemployed graduates, they burnt more moneys to have more trainings for these unemployable graduates. And when that also fails, they do another stupid thing. Recruit them into the public service. Then they complaint about the ineffecient public service.

Ask any teachers, they will tell you how public exams are getting easier by the year. Why? My opinion is so that the non Malays will not get smarter and the Malays will think they are smarter.

Then theres the NEP. The strength of the non Malays in business are weakened in the name of helping the Malaysa. What about that? Isnt it true that goverment contracts are deliberately not given to non bumiputras so that they wont grow so much. Isnt this the same thing?

But those are my thought.

But back to Shahrir’s comment.

They are not asking UMNO to weaken itself. They are just asking UMNO to stop being a fool. No more 'bodoh-sombong' attitute. Why must we accept 'ketuanan UMNO'? Because non Malays are second class citizens here in Malaysia? We are asking for a genuine partnership. A partnership where not everything you say is right and what everybody else says is wrong if you dont agree to it. We dont want your scraps. We dont want your leftovers. Accept that BN's component parties weaknesses is a direct result from UMNO's strength.

Accept that. And there will be a hope for a real bangsa Malaysia.

UMNO Cheras Head's Ho Liau Equations

Well, according to this fellow Syed Ali Al Habshee, the Cheras Umno division head;

Suing Utusan Malaysia = Challenging honour of Malay (because Utusan is owned by Malays)

Challenging honour of Malay = Challenging UMNO.

Questioning the azan = questioning the honours of Malay and Islam.

He was commenting about the RM30Million defamation suit filed by Teresa Kok againts Utusan Malaysia for reporting something that even the affected party, a mosque in Puchong, denied Teresa was involved with.

Wah, like this also can ah?

The guy also started a fund for Utusan to fight the suit. He also ask others to donate to the fund. Maybe can also la. Since those UMNOputras have so much money, they should start collecting the RM30Million now. After all a slander is a 'fitnah'. Unless our 'independent' judiciary acts up funny again.

How ironic, the guy was talking about Islam and honours, but would blindy support a lie, because to him, UMNO and Malays are untouchables in this country of ours. Its their holy right, they wanna tell a lie which resulted in a person arrested under the ISA also can, don't question!

2007 Bersih rally, Yellow Power

Hell, if I have never spent so much time on the Internet, reading Screenshot or Malaysia-Today, I believe I would not have even know about it.

There’s hardly any thing on the newspaper. If there are, it s not even considered front page material. Only the government politicians are interviewed and all of them condemn the march. The march had been blame for making life difficult, spoiling the name of the country, even as bands of criminal, irresponsible criminals who are willing to endangered the life of their children. The national medias suggest that the march is a total failure.

11, 12 and 13th November, the days when I do not have access to the WWW, I don’t really heard anybody talk about the walk. Life goes on as usual. As if nothing happened. As if only a tiny section of the country really supported the walk.

For this I must congratulate the government. Their control over the mass medias are total.

A Malaysiakini writer once told me, I am not the in the typical demografic of Malaysiakini’s reader, ie those interested in social politics.

This means the younger generations don’t actually care. The Malay youth are concerned about Akademi Fantasia and South American Soap Operas. The Chinese educated are only interested to maintain their Chinese lifestyle here in Malaysia. The Indians struggles just to seek recognition that they are an important member of this country. PAS members seeking for an Islamic Nation. And etc. Every body have their own agenda.

Do you then think the youth of the country, not the Belia, those age 15-20 will be aware about the idea behind the walk. Most probably they would not. Even though Kennysia did give some exposure on this March, although in a very indirect and subtle way.

If such a walk is held in Penang, would I be there? Most probably yes, even though I will fell uncomfortable walking with PAS members. I have already accepted that PAS’s vision of this country will never be the same as mine.

But why now, are we running to the king? Remember when we deserted them during Dr. M’s time. Not that all the rulers really deserve our respect in the first place.

It is not that I do not support a clean and fair election. I am all for it. But changes can only be made when the masses cares. The masses don’t only mean those who had access to the WWW and have interest in the social politic issues of the country. The masses mean all the pak cik, makcik, and the younger generations as well.

And the question is, how do we reach them?

He Messed It Up

The dismal state of judiciary of Malaysia is a hot topic lately. It started to heat up with the exposure of a video clip of some lawyer brokering appointments and promotions of high-ranking judges. Although the BN government, via Mr Zam and Pak Lah, among othres, denied any problem with the state of judiciary, it is apparent enough to some of us that something is wrong, very wrong with it.

The 26 September 2007 'Walk for Justice' march at Putrajaya reflected how troublesome the Judiciary system is. Even Sultan Azlan Shah is not happy with the state of the institution he had once headed. With the Executive and Legislation arms of our country closely linked, the only way for a check and balance for our democracy is an independent Judiciary.

And to revive the glory and most importantly its independence, one man must admit his mistake and apologizes for turning our country’s judiciary to its current condition now.

That man is the man who had instigated the 1988 Malaysian constitutional crisis by sacking the then Lord President of the Supreme Court, Tun Salleh Abas for not willing to bow to his command. That man is the man who had liken the Judiciary as a arm of the government, just like the police and civil servants.

That man is Dr Mahathir Bin Mohamad.

If the previous administration will not admit the fault in its policy, I forsee the current administration for using it as an excuse to continue that faulty policy. The current administration might even use the excuse of not willing to embaras, ie continue respecting the legacy of the previous administration.

I know he had retired and just had a heart surgery. But that does not absolve his responsibility for the key part he had played in this matter. I really don’t understand why his name was never drag into this latest outcry for Judiciary independence.

Something caught my eyes in The Star dated 17 October 2007. There is a colum with the heading

"Samy Worries About Couch Potatoes".

Seems like because Astro is now offering so many Hindi and Tamil channels, Samy is worry that the Indian communities will all become fat and round. Wise words.

But wait a minute, isn't that exactly Samy's shape in the first place?

RM171,000 Rental Car

RM171,000.00 to rent a car! The Star reported that is how much our government is paying to rent a Nash Rambler Custom Convertible 1951 car, so that our prime minister can ride in it along with a couple of his ministers. Dr Rais Yatim, our nation’s merdeka celebration coordinator feels that by re-enacting the scene where a similar car brought Tunku around when he return home to announce the country’s independence will somehow show how patriotic the bunch is.

RM171,000.00. For a couple of hours use when launching the 50th National Day celebration. Man, am I furious. This is the time when we are bombarded left right with how our government is being wasteful (think the Angkasawan project, the Brickendonbury football academy in London, the new VVIP airplane for the PM etc), how the laymen are suffering from then rising inflations, how the government’s money (that means yours and my money loh) will be use to bail out a sorry example of our fail corporate governess and horrible corruption in the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) fiasco.

RM171,000.00. That’s low cost housing for 3 families, 34 motorcycles for the low income group, 342 bicycles for our poor students, 34,200 Malaysian flags for us to hang on our cars (so that we can prove how patriotic we are, as some politicians implied!) or even 1 and a half Ford Focus 1.8l for me for 10 years use. Sigh.

RM171,000.00. What ever gives Dr Rais the impression that riding on the car will instill patriotism in us? Or bring back any nostalgia of 1957. How many of us remembers or even cares what kind of car Tunku rode on? Wouldn't it be more important to remember what Tunku faught for? Merdeka is not about all this ‘remeh temeh’ thingies. It is about the correct spirit in all of us. How us Malaysians felt about loving our country and are love back by her. How we feel that we can be proud of our leaders and not be treated as a lulu by them. How we are made to feel that there is a bright future for all us Malaysians, rregardless of our skin colour or religious, if we work and toil hard for the nation.

I am furious, man. But moreover, I am sad, very sad.

Kayveas oh Kayveas

I really think this M. Kayveas guy is a real joke.

He came out all conquering and was even quoted even by his own PPP website spelling out his actual words, "MENGANCAM" to pull out PPP from BN if PPP is not allocated more seats for the next General Election.

Then the guy backtrack and says that his statement is not a threat. I think my BM-English transalation skill is good enough to recognise that "Mengancam" does mean "to threaten". Mr Kayveas also shows off his language skills. I quote him "A threat is waving a keris and asking when you are going to draw blood".

Refering to a certain UMNO VP and some of its members, maybe?












Anyway, of course, when you issue such threat, some big shots like DPM Najib, Umno VP Muhyiddin Yassin, Melaka Chief Minister Ali Rustam, MCA VP Dr Chua Soi Lek etc. all come out trying to be heros and lambast the Kayveas guy loh.

To make things more interesting, Kayveas replies all fired up hammering Ali Rustam, citing examples such as "(Ali Rustam) award 200 Datukships to people without positions or even addresses in Malaysia". I am thinking, because of these allegations by a federal deputy minister, if I am a Malaccan, I will try to sue to Malacca goverment for lowering the standard of Malacca datukship and other titles. I think I would have a case, wont I?

PS: for a political party who claims to have 500 thousand members, I think it is kind of strange that the party's website only listed 3 names as any office bearers, ie the President and two other names from their Cheras division.

Confuse lah!!

The opening of Lim Kok Wing’s University College of Creative Technology school in Kelantan and the singer getting humiliated by the Perak Islamic Department (JaiP) is really getting me confused la.

On one hand, Kelantan, the supposedly strict state that you need to wear “appropriately” all the time might be getting more moderate, by allowing a creative design school. The key word is definitely “Creative”. Design school leh, where creative freedom should be very important. Where we should have emerging fashion designers designing sexy moderate clothing, where architectural students are also allow to design non-Islamic inspired designs, where the fashion students are able to parade their designs on catwalks with mixed audience in attendance. Unlike the last time where a fashion show organised by the Kelantan state government is only opened for woman audience, even though all the models are wearing tudung.
Or maybe Tan Sri Lim is renaming the new campus a school of Islamic design. Cannot be what, the PAS government say they want to attract students from Myammar, Cambodia and China, which are not predominant Islamic countries.

On the other hand, the other states, this time its Perak seems to be getting more Islamic by the day. She is only a singer there and imho there is nothing revealing about that dress of hers.


What is so revealing about this? What to expose? Or maybe the Jaip officers get hard on by such 'exposing of body'?

JaiP is picking on her by slamming different ‘stupid’ charges on her (just like Kayveas is doing to CTOS now, but that is another story). She is only earning a living, its nothing illegal, not like she’s a GRO or something.

So confused la, so nowadays which one is moderate? PAS or BN (Umno la)?
